COGITO Club

The faculty members and students of the Department of philosophy have formed a departmental club on 12^th March 2026.The club will be known as “COGITO CLUB”. The main idea of the club is to oversee various departmental activities, as well as promote ethical values, rational enquires and appreciation of diverse philosophical traditions. extracurricular activities among the different departments of the college.

Aims and Objectives:

The main objectives of the club firstly, are to organise and coordinate various academic and departmental activities Secondly, to encourage extracurricular activities among students of different departments, and to promote intellectual discussion creativity and teamwork among students.

Constitution /By laws:

The constitution /By Laws of the Department of Philosophy shall provide a framework for the effective functioning, academic development discipline and overall welfare of the Department. All activities of the Department shall be conducted in a spirit of mutual respect, academic freedom, inclusiveness, discipline and cooperation.

a. To promote the study and teaching of Philosophy.

b. To encourage critical analytical and independent thinking among students.

c. To organise seminars, lecture, workshops, discussions, and academic activities.

d. Maintain discipline and mutual respect

e. Respect different philosophical, cultural and intellectual viewpoints
